Side effect?
The weird thing is, i think every little thing is a possible side effect (or more cancer.) Yesterday my leg bones hurt, then last night kept hurting, including my hips and knees. So, i researched the webs of course and found that it's a fairly common side effect of the taxol. Yay. It's funny cuz so many of the people who had taxol effects said the same thing: my dr says it's very rare, but...i think drs just like to say that, makes us feel special:) anyway, am feeling better this morning and am saying prayers of thanks for my pain meds;)

Hi Jen, You have a lot of wisdom regarding meds. Your common sense has worked well for you. People struggle with what to take and how long, and if the benefits outweigh the hassles... I admire the relationship you've built with your doctors, who respect you for treating them as a member of a team with a common purpose. I'm always so intimidated by my doctors (for some reason?!)... I started referring to my hip replacement doc as "OZ" because I saw him so rarely yet the moments in his presence were so critically important. I have put you at the top of my Military prayer list because you're fighting just as they are. I know you'll have good days and bad, and just so you know, I'm available 24/7/365 if you want to shoot the breeze :) THANK YOU FOR STARTING THIS COOL BLOG! Love it, and you! xox Rachel

ReplyDeleteMy Dear Dear Friend! Let's see if I can actually post this! First as I told you earlier - this is a FANTASTIC idea!! I'm so glad you finally "came out of the closet!" I feel in some strange way this is a journey you are taking on your own - with all of us who love you running along side trying to be supportive in whatever way we can. Thank you for being willing to share with us! The strength and humor you find to fight this F*#&ING cancer amazes me. Your are my hero - maybe I'll write a song about that - oh wait - its been done!
